"Why is keeping it factory the best?"
(or at least a very good idea!)
Shouldn't I just buy a used one?

Accord Stereo Repairs

Accord CD Changers

Some of the problems that we have repaired are:

  • Not switching to CD Changer when you press the CD button
  • Won't eject, load, or play CD's
  • add AUX to play from phone or other player
  • No display lighting but stereo works fine
  • Loud clicking each time you start the vehicle
  • Loads then says error and ejects the cd
  • I used a cd with a label or sticker on it (from library, church, or other) now jammed
  • Coins and other stuff put in cd changer
  • Error Codes
  • Skipping or Pausing of CD being played
  • Other problems (E-mail us with specifics)

We have factory parts to repair your cd changer if it won’t play or eject the cds. These are very fragile so don’t let someone force anything inside or even take it apart. These do need new parts and the parts have to be put it exact or the player will not work. The Honda Accord cd changer is worth taking care of and having it fixed so it plays correctly. You wouldn’t want a stereo in there that doesn’t look right or fit right.

Want to get your nice cd's out undamaged? The best way for the cd's to not be damaged and for the player to be repaired is to have an experienced tech take it apart. Send it in for repair in the players original broken stage and we will be able to see why it broke and see what it needs to work perfectly again for you.

For 2003 and newer Accord in dash cd changers, in most cases we will not need the entire faceplate. This allows you to keep the temp controls in the vehicle while the stereo is out for repair. For CD Changer problems and display lighting, we will only need the stereo box that is mounted behind the faceplate. Once the faceplate (photo'd above) is removed, you can see how the box unbolts from the backside (it's size is about 8" Wide X 7" Deep X 3" Tall) this is the portion to send in. The brackets on each side of the stereo box are anchored to the back of the faceplate with 3 screws for both left and right side brackets. These 3 screws need to be loosened a little to allow the brackets to spread so you can pull the box off. For removing the faceplate from the car, see Equipment Removal Tips here.

Easy steps for the repair.

  • You have many options with something that isn't working properly. The first step is to understand why you would want to repair instead of replace the unit. See "Why is repairing a good option"

  • Verify where the problem is and what needs to be repaired. Many times this is obvious (like on cd players that skip) but sometimes not so clear like sound that comes and goes (is it speaker, the amp, or stereo). Email a tech if you need help with figuring out where the problem is.

  • Review our estimate info here.

  • Remove it or have someone remove it for you.

  • Print off the Send in form to enclose with the changer (all info needed is on the form, address, email, etc.)

  • Wrap it good with some bubble-wrap to protect.

  • All the carriers deliver here (UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.) Allow under 1 week for the repair, we'll contact you if need a few days longer for parts ordering.

  • Note: We will return everything that is sent in whether it's cd's or brackets, all will be kept together.

Most are anti-theft radios that require a 5-digit code when the battery or the stereo has been disconnected, in order for it to be turned back on.

The CD changers are repairable also, see the changers link on the left. Many times when not working correctly the cd players will show an error code on the display like E-01 PEO P-EO or Err1-3

We repair Honda Accord CD players that skip or won't play CD's. These units are regular 4-Ohm speaker systems unless the stereo says BOSE on its stereo faceplate.

Feedback we've received from Accord Owners

I just wanted to get back to you about how pleased I was with the CD-radio repair and all the support and correspondence you gave me during the process. Your site was easy to negotiate and your forms were clear. I appreciate your email correspondence helping me to understand the problem and get you the necessary information for estimate. I am glad you were able to repair the CD-radio. I retain the original equipment, the car looks good and retains its value and the cost was less than I would have had to pay for a substitute radio in a car-specific panel. Thanks, Tony - Cranford, NJ - 2007 Honda Accord
Installed back in Accord and working great. Thanks for a job well done. Michael -  Ramona, CA. 2001 Honda Accord
I was happy to find a specific Honda stereo repair service online but worried if it was too good to be true. Your web site was so complete and helpful I was willing to try you out. Your company did a fantastic job. You got the job done quickly and I've already referred a friend of mine. Thanks!  Curt - Seattle 1998 Honda Accord
I did without an operating CD player in my Honda Accord for over a year because the dealer wanted an outrageous $800 to repair it and local auto electronic stores wanted to replace it with ill-fitting components. An internet search led me to Willman's Electronics. Great free tips on removing, packaging and sending the CD player for repair. Quick, reliable repair for a reasonable price. Good communication with me on options and progress of repair. Glad I did it!  Richard - Columbus, OH 1999 Honda Accord
I was really concerned about sending my stereo away to someone I found on the internet. I figured, though, that with all the detail on their website, Willman's couldn't be a total fraud. I sent an email with a question and got a response the next day. Willman's did everything they claimed they would, and it was a pleasant experience all the way! My stereo is re-installed and working great. I'm giving Willman's name and URL to my local dealer to pass on.  DuWayne     Longmont, CO     1999 Honda Accord
The fuse removal worked just great and my radio is as good as it ever was.  Thanks so much!!! I am the one with the '92 Honda Accord. I will send people your way for sure!!!  All the best, Pam
You run an honest business and the repair on my Bose stereo worked out great. The system never sounded so good!! Thank you for all the help and honesty in making the repairs, you don't find repair facilities like yours any more. Your shop will be the first on the referral list. Tim - Lemoore, Ca.  93 Honda Accord SE
I am having no trouble everything is fine...thanks for your help!!!!:) I'm listening to music and not my motor!!! Autumn - Chattanooga, TN  1997 Honda Accord SE
I got it all installed and it's working just fine. Thanks for a great service at a reasonable price. Dave - Schaumburg, IL  1996 Honda Accord
I just wanted to thank you very much for fixing the CD player for my daughter's Honda. We got it re-installed today and it works perfectly : )  Thank you so much for doing an excellent job and for sending it back so quickly.  You are great, and I will give your name to everyone who has a CD player repair problem.  I gave your name to Goudy Honda in Alhambra.  Thanks again  Gail  Arcadia, CA. WOW!!! Thanks for being so quick. You are a very respectable business and that is hard to find these days - especially over the internet.  Please know that if we ever need service for our other car's stereo, you will be the first we look to. Sincerely, Maria  Illinois  1994 BMW 740i 6 Disc Changer
Everybody's had that "too good to be true" notion about offers, deals and "come-ons," especially on the internet. Well...Willman's is most assuredly NOT too good to be true; they are true and they are good. I was impressed from start to finish when I entrusted my 10-year-old factory-installed automobile CD Changer to their care to diagnose and remedy, following 3 years of non-use because I couldn't find anyone to repair it within reasonable cost, and with such ease and dispatch. I found the answer in Willman's. I e-mailed and spoke personally to Daryl Willman on several occasions, who made himself available for consultation and step-by-step progress. The fixed-price estimate is rarely seen these days, and pre-approval for over-runs provides customer control at every stage. I will not hesitate to recommend Willman's to anyone requiring expert analysis and service. Thank you!! Chris  Pensacola, FL 1992 BMW 325i
First off I'd like to thank you and the great people at Willman's Electronics for the superb customer service and help dealing with my problem. I was greatly impressed that you spent the time to check out my unit and not charge me labor, for which I would have expected to pay. Having pulled the unit and now replacing it back in the car, I can say that it shouldn't take more that half an hour to pull or replace the radio.

You were right that there was nothing wrong with the unit, the problem was a 15 amp fuse in slot 22 of the fuse box next to the steering column. I know I checked all the fuses once before, but somehow missed that one. Again your great service is appreciated. Regards, Will - Wisconsin   95 Nissan Maxima
